Hospice Charity Cup Regatta - 2008

For the past thirteen years the Hospice 'Charity Cup' Regatta, "signature" fundraising event for Hospice Foundation of Jefferson County has taken place in Henderson Harbor hosted by the Henderson Harbor Yacht Club.

Under its current venue the event has maximized its revenue generating potential.

In looking for ways to increase net fundraising revenue generated by the activities involved in its annual Charity Cup Regatta the decision was made, albeit a difficult one, to move the event to Sackets Harbor.

With a larger area and year round population, Sackets Harbor will allow for more space in which to host the event as well as provide for much more convenient parking and a greater potential for increased attendance.

Henderson Harbor Yacht Club will remain the host Club thus retaining and perpetuating the recognition that collaboration with Hospice over the past thirteen years has garnered.
